TRM Reimagined: Clinical Foundations Intensive

TRM Reimagined: Clinical Foundations Intensive is an immersive, experiential training in the foundational principles and skills of the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)®. Grounded in neuroscience and the biology of the autonomic nervous system, TRM helps clinicians understand how stressful and traumatic experiences affect the mind and body—and how the nervous system can move toward regulation, integration, and well-being.

TRM Reimagined expands the traditional focus on resilience toward the broader possibility of human flourishing. Resilience helps us adapt, recover, and navigate adversity; flourishing invites us to consider what becomes possible when people have greater access to regulation, connection, meaning, compassion, hope, and their inherent strengths. The goal is not simply to recover from what has happened, but to support the conditions in which people can more fully engage with life.

Participants learn TRM’s core wellness skills while developing body literacy—the ability to notice and understand the language of sensation. Through demonstration, practice, reflection, and clinical application, participants are introduced to the TRM Clinical Compass, learning to attend to what is happening in the client’s nervous system, what is happening in their own nervous system as the clinician, and what is emerging between them within the therapeutic relationship.

Participants learn additional TRM skills for
reprocessing traumatic experiences, grounded in the neurobiology of threat, fear, and the body’s instinctive survival responses. Clinicians learn how to work with the nervous system’s natural capacity to recover from threat, helping clients safely process and integrate traumatic experiences while supporting a return to regulation, connection, and greater well-being.

The Intensive provides a clinical foundation for using TRM with compassion, curiosity, and respect for the body’s inherent capacities for regulation, resilience, healing, connection, and
human flourishing.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
