What is a DRM-CRM for CRM Teachers Certificate Workshop?
This 1-day Disaster Resiliency Model–Community Resiliency Model (DRM-CRM) Certificate Workshop is designed specifically for Community Resiliency Model (CRM)® Teachers seeking to deepen their capacity to apply CRM skills for self-care and in high-stress, crisis, disaster, and trauma-exposed settings. DRM-CRM expands upon the foundational CRM Teacher Training by focusing on practical applications that support both immediate stabilization and long-term well-being during and after overwhelming events.
This advanced workshop is especially relevant for CRM Teachers working in high-stress, trauma-exposed, or crisis-impacted environments, including child and family services, behavioral health, healthcare, education, community organizations, humanitarian work, and emergency or crisis response settings. Many helping professionals work within systems that involve ongoing exposure to intense stress, human suffering, and the cumulative impacts of supporting individuals and communities through overwhelming experiences.
Through experiential learning and discussion participants will deepen their understanding of how to:
Support nervous system stabilization during periods of acute stress and uncertainty
Sustain personal and professional well-being while working in demanding helping roles and systems
Strengthen confidence in facilitating CRM-informed support in complex and high-intensity environments
This workshop also provides space for CRM Teachers to strengthen their own well-being, reflect on the realities of sustained helping work, and strengthen their ability to offer grounded, compassionate support.
